While crossing an intersection, at low speeds (<5mph) the wagoneer immediately switched to park due to a failing auto park safety system. It left us stranded in the middle of the road while the car required two shut offs and restarts, all while watching cars drive by us. This has occurred twice in intersections, twice at stop signs, and three times pulling out of our driveway in the past three months.
Suspension geometry is wrong causing rapid tire wear and heat. Dealership says it’s normal wear for this car with air ride suspension and engine power. I’ve had the alignment checked multiple times and told it is correct. This is causing excessive wear of the tires and causes a bad vibration like a tire belt is broken. I have researched the internet and found that there has been several complaints of this issue with Wagoneers with air ride suspension. I purchased this car brand new and this wasn’t disclosed that this vehicle will need new tires every 20,000 miles. I believe this to be a safety issue with the high wear and extreme heat is setting up a tire failure or explosion and or separation of tire while driving and could cause a wreak and possible death depending on the accident.
I am reporting a serious safety concern with my 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. For approximately six months, I have repeatedly taken the vehicle to an authorized Viva Jeep dealership in [XXX], because of transmission and acceleration concerns. The dealership has attempted to diagnose the issue, including keeping my vehicle for approximately one month, but the problem has not been resolved. On XXX, while driving, the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated without my intention or command and reached approximately 90 mph. I was able to regain control and safely stop the vehicle. The following day, I experienced additional abnormal behavior. When pressing the accelerator, the RPM and shifting did not respond normally, and the vehicle appeared to remain in an incorrect gear. I have repeatedly reported concerns about the transmission/powertrain for months, but the problem continues and has now escalated into a serious safety concern. I do not feel safe operating this vehicle. I am requesting that NHTSA document and review this incident as a potential vehicle safety defect involving unintended acceleration and transmission/powertrain malfunction. Car has stalled out on road multiple times. In shop one day for software update. In shop two days for fuel pump replacement. Has been in shop 13 days and counting with no diagnoses currently. First stall out occurred at 55 mph.
Purchased vehicle new in June 2025, July 2026 it prematurely wore the outside of both passenger tires to the point the chords were showing with 25,000 miles on original factory tires. Dealership replaced tires and said they found nothing wrong with alignment. We have owned 5 new vehicles over the past 15 years, and we have always gotten at least 50,000 miles out of factory tires. Something in vehicle front end/suspension is causing the excessive wear to destroy tires. Hundreds of other Jeep Wagoneer owners are complaining on Jeep forum pages. Something needs to be fixed in the Wagoneer front end to prevent this.
