Our Standard

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by the ADA, Section 508, and the European Accessibility Act.

What We've Verified

We ran an automated audit (axe-core) against our homepage, VIN search, pricing, contact, and privacy pages, and fixed what it found that was safe to fix immediately:

• Form fields on the Contact page now have properly associated labels for screen readers (they previously lacked an explicit label-to-input connection).
• Scrollable data tables on this site (like the ones in our Privacy Policy) are now reachable and operable by keyboard.

Automated tools only catch an estimated 20–50% of accessibility issues — the rest require manual testing, which we're continuing to expand.

Known Issues We're Working On

Being direct about what the same audit found and hasn't been fixed yet:

• Color contrast — a number of text and icon colors across the site (muted labels, footer links, some badges) fall below the WCAG AA 4.5:1 contrast ratio. This is the largest item we found and needs a deliberate pass through our design system's color tokens rather than a piecemeal fix, so it doesn't break visual consistency elsewhere.
• Landmark structure — some pages render more than one main content region, and our header isn't always recognized as a top-level banner landmark. This can make skip-navigation and screen-reader region jumps less reliable than they should be.
• Heading order — a small number of headings skip a level (for example, a section jumping from an H2 to an H4), which can be confusing when navigating by heading with a screen reader.

We're treating the color-contrast pass as the priority, since it affects the most pages and the most users.
