Front Camera sometimes malfunctions and will not display, only black screen. A recall or customer satisfactory program has been issued for rear camera, but not for front Camera. This issue could be dangerous when pulling forward from a parking spot as view is partially obstructed by large hood. The Ford dealership quoted a replacement but failed to fix or replace under warranty.
Vehicle brake pedal is very hard to press, unable to push in until the car engine is running. When driving the brake pedal seems it has more pressure and cannot push it to normal level. On the highway it came up brake safety warning when I was in 4Wheel Auto. The pedal stiffness has been checked and confirmed by AutoNation Service. They stated no Warranty or Recall Notice for this issue. The issue is commonly reported by broncos with 2.3L and is determined to be the Brake Booster Vacuum Line. Statements share similar brake pedal stiffness when engine stopped, and engaged stiffness when in 4 wheel mode or Cruise Control, causing driver to put immense pressure on pedal to have the car brake. Before I pay for the parts and long service this clear safety concern should be looked at.

My vehicle is experiencing potential electrical issues which appear to be similar to the same 12-volt battery management failures that are currently recalled in the Bronco Sport models. The "Charging System Service Now" alarm continues to pop up, sometimes every 30 seconds. I am also not able to use my communication and navigation system, and I am not sure if this is related to the same electrical system malfunctions. Furthermore, on three recent occasions, my vehicle stalled while I was pulling out of a street which was on a slight incline, another while I was on a hill in a parking lot, and another while I was reversing and putting my car into 1st gear to drive. During all of these occasions, my vehicle stalled and did not automatically re-start which had me blocking traffic while I turned my vehicle back on. All of these issues have affected the safety of myself and my passengers due to the unexpected stalling as well as electrical power loss, including loss of navigation/communications. It has also resulted in me getting pulled over by law enforcement twice due to swerving while I was looking at the screen when it went black and the other because I was speeding because my Charging System Service alarm went off and I was also unable to determine the speed limit of that road without having my navigation screen working. I believe I have contacted the Ford Dealership regarding the specific loss of the communication and navigation issue and was told they did not have the parts/software available at this time. I have taken my vehicle to an Advance Auto Parts store when the "Charging System Service Now" first appeared and was told it was potentially the alternator. I will have to locate the documentation at a later time.
I would like to update my previous safety concern since both concerns are related to separate recall issues. This concern is related to my vehicle experiencing potential electrical issues which appear to be similar to the same 12-volt battery management failures that are currently recalled in the Bronco Sport models. The "Charging System Service Now" alarm continues to pop up, sometimes every 30 seconds. I have not able to use my communication and navigation system for months now which has caused continuous issues which first started with my gps taking me to a completely different location on several occasions. This has caused me to get lost, be late, and be distracted while trying to fix the navigation error. These electrical issues have affected the safety of myself and my passengers due to the potential for complete electrical power loss, including loss of navigation/communications. It has also resulted in me getting pulled over by law enforcement twice: Once, where I received a warning for failing to use my turn signal when exiting which was the result of my entire screen going black while I was using my GPS and panicked. The second time was for speeding: 1. I was distracted because the Charging System Service alarm popped up on my dashboard. 2. My navigation screen was not working which I what I used to monitor the speed limit and maintain correct speed when the sign was not visible. 3. According to research, this may have affected the accuracy of the speed gun since I did not agree with the speed the officer detected. Research into this issue did, in fact, indicate that electromagnetic interference caused by the electrical faults and alternator issues can produce broadband noise or EMI which may overload or confuse the sensitivity of the radar gun, causing a false speed reading. Yes, the Ford Dealership was contacted, and I was told they did not have the parts/software available to fix the electrical issue. A mechanic also indicated issues with the alternator.

Getting a cross traffic alert and blind spot alert fault warning every time I drive the car.
My 2022 Ford Bronco (2.7L) currently has an open fuel pump module safety recall with no remedy available. Ford has informed us that there is no fix yet and owners must wait until a future repair becomes available. The dealership attempted to replace the fuel pump in hopes of improving the issue, but the repair did not resolve the problem and the vehicle now performs worse than before. The vehicle cannot be safely driven and is currently sitting in my driveway. Ford has acknowledged the issue under case number [XXX] but stated there is currently nothing they can do until a fix becomes available. This leaves us with a vehicle that cannot be safely operated due to a known safety defect with no available remedy. I am submitting this complaint regarding an open safety recall on my vehicle, NHTSA Recall 25V721 (Manufacturer Recall 25SB5), which has been active since October 29, 2025. As of today, the recall remains incomplete and the manufacturer states that no remedy or parts are available, with no estimated timeline provided. The recall involves a potential issue where a front seat frame height-adjust pivot bolt may loosen or dislodge, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. According to the manufacturer, this condition may not be identifiable without an incident or collision. My concern is that: 1.The recall has been open for over three months with no interim remedy, inspection protocol, or mitigation guidance offered to owners. 2.The manufacturer has not provided clear written guidance on whether the vehicle is considered safe for continued operation while awaiting the remedy, beyond stating that parts are unavailable. 3.Owners are left in a prolonged state of uncertainty, despite the recall being classified as safety-related. 4.The lack of interim guidance or remedy availability is causing financial and practical hardship, as vehicles with open safety recalls are restricted from certain lawful uses, even when no symptoms are present. I am requesting that NHTSA review whether the manufacturerβs delay in providing a remedyβor interim safety guidanceβmeets expectations for timely resolution of a safety recall. I am also requesting that NHTSA encourage the manufacturer to provide either: β’An interim inspection or mitigation procedure, or β’Clear guidance on vehicle operability and risk while awaiting the final remedy. Thank you for your review of this matter.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that the front passenger's side seat frame bolt had detached within a week of purchasing the vehicle. The contact stated that the engine was chugging. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, and the vehicle responded as needed. The contact had stopped driving the vehicle in 4WD Low Mode. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Additionally, while reversing, the rearview camera displayed a black or blue screen intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V312000 (Back Over Prevention), 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), and 25V721000 (Seats); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The hardtop developed cracks early on during the life of the vehicle. It leaks water. Itβs a known issue with Bronco owners with the factory hardtop. Some people have had it replaced more than 3 times due to the same thing continuing to happen.

π Understanding This Data
What is an NHTSA Complaint?
An NHTSA safety complaint is a report filed directly by a vehicle owner or driver describing a safety-related issue. Anyone can submit a complaint at NHTSA.gov. The number of complaints is a signal of how common a problem is β but complaints per model-year matter more than raw totals, since popular vehicles naturally receive more reports. The Ford Bronco has 778 complaints on record across 6 model years.
What is a Safety Recall?
A safety recall is a mandatory campaign issued by NHTSA when a vehicle component poses an unreasonable risk to safety or does not comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards. Unlike complaints (which are owner-reported), recalls are formally investigated and confirmed by regulators. Manufacturers must fix recalled vehicles free of charge. The Ford Bronco has 84 recall campaigns in the NHTSA database.
What Are Crash Complaints?
Crash complaints are NHTSA filings where the owner indicates a crash occurred as part of the incident. 20 of the Ford Bronco's 778 complaints involved a crash. This metric is particularly important because it indicates how often defects resulted in actual collisions β a key safety signal beyond general reliability.
How Is the AI Rating Calculated?
The AI reliability rating (Below Average) is generated by analyzing the vehicle's total complaints, recall history, crash complaint ratio, fire complaint ratio, and top component failures relative to class averages. The rating provides a plain-English summary for buyers who want a quick verdict without parsing raw numbers. It is one input in your buying decision β always verify with a VIN-specific report.
Why Do Newer Years Have Fewer Complaints?
Newer model years appear to have fewer complaints because there has been less time for owners to file them. Complaints accumulate over years of ownership. A 2020 model year vehicle will typically show fewer complaints than a 2015 model year even if it is less reliable β simply because fewer owners have had time to report issues. Focus on complaints per year of market presence when comparing across model years.
Fleet Data vs. Individual VIN
Everything on this page reflects aggregated data across all Ford Bronco vehicles on the road β not any specific car. Two Ford Bronco vehicles of the same year can have very different histories: one may have been in three accidents and have an open recall; another may be clean. A VIN check gives you the individual car's history: accidents, title brands, odometer records, service history, and real-time recall status.
What Are NHTSA Investigations?
When NHTSA receives a pattern of related safety complaints, it opens a formal investigation. A Preliminary Evaluation (PE) is the first stage β NHTSA determines if a safety defect may exist. If evidence is strong, it escalates to an Engineering Analysis (EA), which can result in a mandatory recall. The Ford Bronco has 0 investigations on record (0 active). Investigations listed above may have already led to the recalls shown on this page.
Is This Data Saved in Firebase & Indexed by Google?
Yes β intentionally. When you first visit this page, our server fetches live data directly from the NHTSA public API (no key required), processes it, and caches it in Google Firebase Firestore for 24 hours. The fully rendered HTML β with all NHTSA complaints, recalls, NCAP ratings, and investigations β is then indexed by Google Search. This is by design: caching real government data in Firebase lets us serve comprehensive vehicle safety pages instantly, while giving Google Bots rich structured content to rank for searches like "Ford Bronco reliability" or "NHTSA recalls." No personal data is stored β only public NHTSA records are cached. You can always verify everything directly at nhtsa.gov.
