Owners repeatedly report the fuel gauge failing and the low-fuel warning light coming on even when the tank is full. One owner said it happened within 10 miles of leaving the dealer. This can leave you stranded or cause unnecessary panic, and it's the most common complaint area.

Owners report severe engine problems, including a 2026 Silverado with a 6.2L motor that had issues shortly after purchase, and a 6.6L Duramax diesel that required dealer service for excessive soot accumulation at low mileage. These can lead to loss of power and expensive repairs.
Complaints include a 2026 Silverado suddenly going into neutral while driving slowly uphill, and another with less than 300 miles on it. Transmission failures like this can leave you unable to move and may be dangerous in traffic.
