The recall letter advised that for the time being, I should set software to limit charge to 80%. The car is noncompliant with the prescribed settings. If there is a danger to having settings no prescribed, I am in danger. I did set the settings in the car and in the Android app to 80%. Sometimes the 80% limit is respected, but often it charges to 100%. Even though the Android app always reports the setting as 80%. the car sometimes doesn't comply. I only charge in my garage, in the same spot, using a Level 2 charger. The recall letter also advised that the drive mode should be set to "Auto EV." But the Corsair does not have a setting called "Auto EV." I called several numbers at Ford, and no one was able to offer any help. Screenshots show charge settings on car and phone, and one charge respecting 80%, and one going past it.
I was getting back into the car, shut the door (at a normal level) and heard a loud bang coming from above me then heard the glass falling onto the cover. Got out and realized it was a spontaneous rupture of the sun roof.
While driving, the moonroof spontaneously shattered. There was no impact whatsoever. Just shattered. Glass was everywhere.
* The rear differential failed/broke 12 hours into a 13 hour trip. There have been recalls for this issue for previous years but not for 2023 models (yet) * This happened on the interstate and we could have been seriously injured or killed with the sudden loss of function if this happened during the day. Fortunately, it happened at night with limited traffic on a Sunday. * The problem has been confirmed with a Lincoln dealer where the car was towed * Other than the service department at a dealership, the car has not been inspected by any other agency * No warnings of any kind prior to the problem. After the rear differential failure, then every warning light imaginable went off.
Driving down city street and sunroof glass shattered with no type of impact or even rough road. Nothing struck vehicle to cause damage.
Seems to be an electrical problem with the car. i have had it in for repairs 5xs now cant seem to fix it or cant find the problem. The entire ADAS system fails at different points. Sometimes i get warnings. One time entire car went black while driving on highway. Lincoln claims no faults were stored. Head lights light on their own while parked and locked or sometimes they don't work at all. Rear tailgate opened while driving. Ventilation system displays in Chinese. This has been going on for a little over a year now.
Since leasing the vehicle in February 2024, I have experienced persistent failures in the collision prevention system and other critical safety features. Despite multiple service visits, the issue remains unresolved, with Lincoln attributing the problem to a system update that has been repeatedly delayed. Chronology of Issues and Service Attempts: 1.Two Weeks After Leasing (February 2024) oThe collision prevention system began failing. oAdditional issue: Passenger-side windshield wiper fluid failure. oVehicle was returned to the dealer for service. oVehicle was returned the next day with the same collision system issue unresolved. 2.Second Service Attempt (March 2024) oThe Windshield wiper fluid issue was resolved. oCollision prevention system issue persisted. oLincoln informed me that the issue would be resolved through an automatic system update by the end of 2024. (Attachment 1) 3.Third Service Attempt (November 2024) oVehicle returned to Schumacher for the same system faults. oDealer returned the car, stating that there was no system update available yet. oLincoln now projected the system update for Q1 2025. (Attachment 2) oSchumacher advised scheduling another service appointment after December. 4.Fourth Service Attempt (January 2025) oVehicle was delivered for the collision system fault. oReturned the same day, again stating the issue would be resolved in Q1 2025 via an automatic system update. 5.Escalation to Lincoln Customer Service (Late January 2025) oContacted Lincoln customer service to formally report the issue and request a resolution. oA week later, Lincoln informed me that the only solution was to wait for the system update. 6.Fifth Service Attempt & Request for Rental Car (February 2025) oMy wife and I visited Schumacher Lincoln, requested to leave the vehicle, and asked for a rental while awaiting repairs. oRequest for a rental vehicle was denied. oThe same day, we received an automatic system installation update (Attachment
The component that failed is a known issue with the backup camera blue screen. My vin# isn't part of the recall but should be. The safety factor is well known. The dealer has reproduced the issue replaced the camera and applied the temporary fix but it failed again. The temporary fix also caused the 360 feature to freeze in one spot. There were no symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.
The car keeps just fully turning off. Dealership has tried to replace the battery several times but the problem keeps happening. I am [XXX] and have been left stranded 4 times now. They can't seem to fix the problem. My car has been in the dealership 45 days of the 60 days I have owned it. I feel very vulnerable even if they do find a fix, I think it will happen again and again. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Purchased car in early January 2024 and on February 18th the vehicle wouldn't start. Got the vehicle to start after jumping it and drove straight to the dealership to have it checked / repaired. The car has been in the dealership service bay ever since. I worked with dealership and then escalated the issue to Lincoln Concierge Group (corporate office). I am told it is an issue with the Audio Control Module (ACM) where the electronics continue to draw down on the battery even after the car is shut off. The Lincoln programmers have taken multiple attempts to fix the problem ... all unsuccessfully. The new car has been in the dealership for OVER a month now. They have provided a loaner in the meantime but that is little consolation for the time and concerns we have with the vehicle purchased. I have asked that they consider the vehicle a lemon and allow for acquisition of another Lincoln. These requests have been denied but may be considered in the future. Looking for assistance in resolving this issue.
The Engine Control System has detected that one of the exhaust emission sensors is not responding as expected.
We took delivery of the vehicle in March 2025. The vehicle has never been involved in any accident or collision during our possession. β’ In April 2026, we discovered that the passenger-side rear brake light was no longer functioning. β’ Upon inspection, dealership personnel informed me that a small crackβapproximately one inch in lengthβin the plastic housing of the driver-side rear turn signal allegedly allowed moisture intrusion that ultimately caused the passenger-side brake light failure. β’ I was further advised that the repair would not be covered under warranty and was presented with an estimate totaling $1,377.54 (copy enclosed). β’ The dealership speculated that the crack may have resulted from a minor parking-lot incident. However, no evidence was provided to establish either the cause of the crack or when it occurred. My concern is not merely the cost of the repair, although the quoted amount appears disproportionate to the nature of the issue. More importantly, the explanation provided raises serious concerns regarding the integrity and durability of the rear lighting assembly itself.
Impact with deer on I-79 in WV at 70mph Air bags did not deploy. I was not injured but had it been a vehicle I would have been. Not inspected or confirmed by anyone. No messages or warning before collision.
For the last three months, after the car sits for 12 hours or more, I get a "battery saver mode" on my phone and many of the online features won't work. Dealer measured the battery power on first visit - read 93 percent. Went to dealer a month later, battery read 59 percent. Dealer advised me to "drive the car more"! It takes 45 minutes to get to the dealer from our house, shouldn't have to drive longer than that. Something is draining the battery!
The contact owns a 2024 Lincoln Corsair. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V091000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The contact stated that the unrepaired recall was an inconvenience because a feature was being for on the vehicle that could not be used. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact had not experienced a failure.
The contact owns a 2024 Lincoln Corsair. The contact stated that unknown parts fell of the vehicle and were replaced by dealer, the contact was informed of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V091000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
The contact owned a 2024 Lincoln Corsair. The contact stated that while driving 35-40 MPH, the contact noticed that another vehicle driving approximately 60 MPH crashed into the vehicle directly behind the contact's vehicle, and then crashed into the contact's vehicle. The contact's face hit the steering wheel. The contact stated that the seat belt restraint system only engaged after the contact's face had already hit the steering wheel. The seat belt then became significantly tight, causing the contact to experience difficulty breathing. The air bags did not deploy. The contact might have been knocked unconscious. The contact felt that her jaw had moved, and the contact's mouth was bleeding. The contact was assisted out of the seat belt and the vehicle, and the contact was taken to the hospital trauma unit by EMT. A CT scan was performed. The contact was informed that the right jaw was fractured and displaced from the nose to the end of the jaw. The contact was also informed that she had sustained a cardiac contusion as the heart muscle was damaged. The rear of the vehicle was significantly damaged. The contact could not recall whether there were warning lights illuminated after the crash. The vehicle was towed and totaled by the insurance company. A police report was filed; however, the contact stated that the police report inaccurately stated that the air bags in all three vehicles had deployed. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
I have noticed that when the battery is lower than 85% available power sensor effectiveness is greatly reduced. This is noticed with vehicle going into remote battery saver mode and the Auto Start/Stop function ceases to function. This also greatly reduces front collision, rear cross traffic and pedestrian rear cross traffic warning especially. This is apparently due to a battery drain if any USB items are left plugged in. But after six month review on my second battery it is more apparent that the Corsair has an electrical parasitic drainage problem that adds to the problem. The fix by company is to drive the vehicle every day, which is not a practical option. I have used high end battery tester to prove my point and willing to spare it. The testing was conducted with all USB electrical ports disconnected and random battery testing conducted. I have included a log and will send photos of the battery tests if requested.
Based on your previous Recall Number 24V954000 created December 20, 2024 I believe it needs to be expanded to my vehicle series. I will now be taking it into dealership for 3rd time because the system is not charging battery.

π Understanding This Data
What is an NHTSA Complaint?
An NHTSA safety complaint is a report filed directly by a vehicle owner or driver describing a safety-related issue. Anyone can submit a complaint at NHTSA.gov. The number of complaints is a signal of how common a problem is β but complaints per model-year matter more than raw totals, since popular vehicles naturally receive more reports. The Lincoln Corsair has 155 complaints on record across 7 model years.
What is a Safety Recall?
A safety recall is a mandatory campaign issued by NHTSA when a vehicle component poses an unreasonable risk to safety or does not comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards. Unlike complaints (which are owner-reported), recalls are formally investigated and confirmed by regulators. Manufacturers must fix recalled vehicles free of charge. The Lincoln Corsair has 79 recall campaigns in the NHTSA database.
What Are Crash Complaints?
Crash complaints are NHTSA filings where the owner indicates a crash occurred as part of the incident. 6 of the Lincoln Corsair's 155 complaints involved a crash. This metric is particularly important because it indicates how often defects resulted in actual collisions β a key safety signal beyond general reliability.
How Is the Reliability Verdict Calculated?
The reliability verdict (Poor) is generated by analyzing the vehicle's total complaints, recall history, crash complaint ratio, fire complaint ratio, and top component failures relative to class averages. This verdict gives buyers a quick interpretation before they review year-level details and VIN-level history. It should be treated as one decision input, not a substitute for a VIN-specific report.
Why Do Newer Years Have Fewer Complaints?
Newer model years appear to have fewer complaints because there has been less time for owners to file them. Complaints accumulate over years of ownership. A 2020 model year vehicle will typically show fewer complaints than a 2015 model year even if it is less reliable β simply because fewer owners have had time to report issues. Focus on complaints per year of market presence when comparing across model years.
Fleet Data vs. Individual VIN
Everything on this page reflects aggregated data across all Lincoln Corsair vehicles on the road β not any specific car. Two Lincoln Corsair vehicles of the same year can have very different histories: one may have been in three accidents and have an open recall; another may be clean. A VIN check gives you the individual car's history: accidents, title brands, odometer records, service history, and real-time recall status.
What Are NHTSA Investigations?
When NHTSA receives a pattern of related safety complaints, it opens a formal investigation. A Preliminary Evaluation (PE) is the first stage β NHTSA determines if a safety defect may exist. If evidence is strong, it escalates to an Engineering Analysis (EA), which can result in a mandatory recall. The Lincoln Corsair has 0 investigations on record (0 active). Investigations listed above may have already led to the recalls shown on this page.
