Recall N945 safety passenger air bag may tear I was notified July 2025. By December 2025 no solution has been provided. I called the dealership Land Rover Marin and they refused to repair saying I should not too worry and that this is not a safety issue. I find this false since the airbags are a primary safety issue and Im driving a car that cant guarantee the safety of the side passenger.

. I leased the vehicle from the Suburban of Troy (Jaguar Troy-Land Rover Troy) at 1815 Maplelawn Troy, MI 48084 through Ally Financial on 6/30/22. On 7/29/22 and 8/15/22, I brought the vehicle into the Suburban Collectionβs Service Center. I stated that when I remote started the vehicle from the app, I would start driving and a βGearbox Faultβ message would turn on for a day or so and would shut off. I provided the Service Advisor with my login credentials to troubleshoot the concern with my vehicle. Unfortunately, no resolution was made with regards to my vehicle and it was returned to me. This continued to occur. On 1/9/23 (with just over 6,500 miles), I again brought my vehicle into the service center. I started my vehicle using the mobile app while the auto start/stop function was enabled and drove the vehicle for a number of miles and upon entering a roundabout, the vehicle shifted itself into neutral during rush hour traffic. I could not switch out of neutral and had to restart the vehicle in the middle of rush hour and I could have been rear ended. This situation was horrifying. I reached out to four individuals via JLR corporate emails on 3/7/23, as I had not received any information from my service advisor regarding my vehicle. During that time, I was driving a loaner vehicle that did not have the same features and I was unable to start the vehicle remotely during that time. I received correspondence from an Executive Liaison, Jean Meyer on 3/8/23 after receiving my vehicle the day prior. It had been in the dealershipβs possession at that time for 66 days and in total, my vehicle had been in their possession for 78 days. During that time, I was informed that the Service Advisor that I had worked with was eliminated because of his handling of my case. I was told that the Shop Foreman was working on my vehicle and that it had been escalated to an engineer that manufactures the transmission, but no one was able to find a resolution for my car switching into n
While driving my 2019 Range Rover Evoque on the highway on [XXX], the headliner on my vehicle just suddenly collapsed, hitting me in the head while driving and blocking my view of my rear windshield and rear view mirror and startling me almost causing a serious accident at 70 miles per hour. Something like this should not happen on a car that is just a few years old and has less than 30k miles on it. The adhesive in the headliner just simply failed and the whole thing collapsed. I called my Land Rover Dealership and they just stated that the warranty expired 2 years ago and nothing they can do. So then I called Land Rover corporate at 1800-637-6837 option 9 and they told me they can't help either unless I take it to dealership and spend $300 to get a diagnostic report from them. Then they may or may not assist me. I brought to their attention that the model year 2020 Range Rover Evoque has 2 current recalls for the same issue, Failing headliner and headliner built missing materials and since the body on the 2019 and 2020 are exactly the same the recall should cover this as well, but they refuse and say it goes by year and VIN and 2019 is not covered under the recall. The recalls in mention are: Recall N412 (19V-840) and Recall N454. These need to be expanded to cover 2019 or a new recall needs to be added, because the issue of a suddenly collapsing headliner while driving is a serious and potentially fatal matter. Not sure how you can help but something needs to be done because this is a danger to life and property. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
incident # 11633408 December 30, 2024 The car was serviced due to a faulty door latch. Pd $1200.00 Two days later the passenger door flew open, and would not close. After 10 minutes I finally got the door to close fully.2 days later, the same door opened and almost hit shoppers in a parking lot. This continued until I did not use the passenger door at all. I returned the car to the dealership. Diagnosis..they had installed a faulty door latch again! This issue has been on recall. yet my car in number was not part of the recall so I had to pay for it. This is a huge safety issue. I shouldn't have to worry about a door flying open when operating it.Jaguar/Range Rover seems not to care since my vin number was not part of the recall. Plus, the dealership said my windshield now leaks, (again a recall) but not my vin number. Can someone assist me with my car that is having serious safety issues?

The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,500.
Incident #. 11633354 2 invoices attached $1232.20 Faulty door latch, camera, mirrors, alarm issues A recall was issued for this problem on 2019 evoque N335 19v-392
The the top of the windshield leaks. The windshield has actually pulled away from the body of the car and needs to be completely resealed. This is a well known and recall problem for 2015 to 2018 Land Rover Evokes. My Evoke is a 2019 thus dose not fall under the recall, yet its the same issue. There are many other people with this complaint which can be seen with a quick Google search on this issue. My dealership has straight out told me that my year is not in the recall, although same problem, its not a recall item because my year is not included in the recall. I am asking that you expand the current recall for leaking windshields form 2015 to 2022 (i say 2022 because on line, there seems to be an on going issue until 2022. Not to mention, this issue drastically diminishes the safety integrity of the vehicle roll over safety / security / strength. Thanks you.
Malfunction Indicator Lamp illuminated with VCT diagnostic trouble codes stored in module; increased induction noise while driving; reduction in performance; and camshaft over speed. This was covered in N481 but has expired. I have owned my vehicle since June 2020 and was not notified of this Service Action Notice by my dealer or Range Rover. The last 6 numbers of my VIN falls within the range of vehicles affected by this notice; I.e., 255258-354248. This is a known safety hazard and it needs to be covered for the vehicle owners affected by this issue without expiration.
During heavy rain or snow, there is water intrusion coming through the center of windshield. this water lands on my center console where a lot of my controls and they shouldn't be getting wet.
Three issues so far: 1) pulled over to close back door when warning light came on. Turned knob to put in park got out to secure back door. Vehicle began to back up., knocked me down and ran over my leg. Keep rolling until it was stop by a curb. 2) windshield started leaking after going through car wash. 3) both vanity covers on visors broke off 2 weeks apart. Plastic inferior βknobsβ break without even using much. Never use passenger side and it broke 1st!

While driving on the interstate I released the cruise and slowed down when coming up on an 18 wheeler. When it was clear I began to change lanes to the left and tried to accelerate but the engine would not respond. About 5 or 6 seconds later it finally responded. This has happened about a dozen times at random. It has been in the dealers shop 6 times for this issue. The usually update the software and call it good but it keeps on happening. I had it in the shop this past January 2021 and a tech from Range Rover worked on it for about 1 1/2 weeks upgrading the software and said it was fixed. It happened 2 times since then so back to the shop I went. They returned the car on the 4th day stating they could not make the car shut down and there were no codes. I donβt know about you but itβs very stressful when you are driving in heavy traffic on Interstate 4 near Orlando and your car shuts done for a few seconds. I read on the internet where other people are having similar issues. I think something needs to be done before there is a tragic accident because Range Rover acts like they donβt know what everyone is talking about.

π Understanding This Data
What is an NHTSA Complaint?
An NHTSA safety complaint is a report filed directly by a vehicle owner or driver describing a safety-related issue. Anyone can submit a complaint at NHTSA.gov. The number of complaints is a signal of how common a problem is β but complaints per model-year matter more than raw totals, since popular vehicles naturally receive more reports. The LAND Rover Range Rover Evoque has 21 complaints on record across 10 model years.
What is a Safety Recall?
A safety recall is a mandatory campaign issued by NHTSA when a vehicle component poses an unreasonable risk to safety or does not comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards. Unlike complaints (which are owner-reported), recalls are formally investigated and confirmed by regulators. Manufacturers must fix recalled vehicles free of charge. The LAND Rover Range Rover Evoque has 30 recall campaigns in the NHTSA database.
What Are Crash Complaints?
Crash complaints are NHTSA filings where the owner indicates a crash occurred as part of the incident. 0 of the LAND Rover Range Rover Evoque's 21 complaints involved a crash. This metric is particularly important because it indicates how often defects resulted in actual collisions β a key safety signal beyond general reliability.
How Is the AI Rating Calculated?
The AI reliability rating (Below Average) is generated by analyzing the vehicle's total complaints, recall history, crash complaint ratio, fire complaint ratio, and top component failures relative to class averages. The rating provides a plain-English summary for buyers who want a quick verdict without parsing raw numbers. It is one input in your buying decision β always verify with a VIN-specific report.
Why Do Newer Years Have Fewer Complaints?
Newer model years appear to have fewer complaints because there has been less time for owners to file them. Complaints accumulate over years of ownership. A 2020 model year vehicle will typically show fewer complaints than a 2015 model year even if it is less reliable β simply because fewer owners have had time to report issues. Focus on complaints per year of market presence when comparing across model years.
Fleet Data vs. Individual VIN
Everything on this page reflects aggregated data across all LAND Rover Range Rover Evoque vehicles on the road β not any specific car. Two LAND Rover Range Rover Evoque vehicles of the same year can have very different histories: one may have been in three accidents and have an open recall; another may be clean. A VIN check gives you the individual car's history: accidents, title brands, odometer records, service history, and real-time recall status.
What Are NHTSA Investigations?
When NHTSA receives a pattern of related safety complaints, it opens a formal investigation. A Preliminary Evaluation (PE) is the first stage β NHTSA determines if a safety defect may exist. If evidence is strong, it escalates to an Engineering Analysis (EA), which can result in a mandatory recall. The LAND Rover Range Rover Evoque has 0 investigations on record (0 active). Investigations listed above may have already led to the recalls shown on this page.
